Get Vaccinated!
August is also the perfect time to make sure your children are up to date on all their vaccines. Vaccines that protect us from preventable but dangerous diseases like polio, mumps, measles, diphtheria and chicken pox remain the most effective way to keep your kids and our entire community safe.
It is extremely important that all children are up to date on required vaccinations before the school year begins. You can find a list of required vaccinations here. To get your child vaccinated, contact your child’s physician or click here for information on Tarrant County’s 2023 Back-to-School vaccination clinics.

Texas Sales Tax Holiday
The annual Texas sales tax holiday takes place from Friday, August 11th to Sunday, August 13th. During that time, most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks sold for less than $100 will be exempt from sales taxes. This is a great opportunity to save money while getting your back-to-school shopping done. Click here for a full list of qualifying items.

Good luck to all the parents and teachers as you prepare for another school year!
