Dear Friend,
We are over two months into the 89th Legislature, and things are officially busy! My team and I have been working hard to move our bills through the legislative process – just this week, three of my bills are being heard in different committees.
In addition, I have stayed busy considering dozens of bills in the committees I serve on: State Affairs and Ways and Means, as well as the Subcommitte on Property Tax Appraisals, which I chair.
It’s been great to see so many of my constituents visit the Capitol in recent weeks! I want to specially thank the parents, students and educators who have taken time to advocate for public education funding and oppose Greg Abbott’s private school voucher scam. Your voice matters, and we’re going to do all we can to help our public schools.
