Rep. Chris Turner to Host Paying for College Seminars

Information sessions will help local high school students & parents navigate the college financial aid process

payingcARLINGTON – State Representative Chris Turner will host two “Paying for College” seminars in Arlington. The first will be held on September 25 at Sam Houston High School, followed by a seminar on October 2 at Seguin High School.

“Even as college costs continue to rise, there are numerous financial aid opportunities for middle class families so that deserving, hard-working students can attend college,” said State Representative Turner. “The ability to attend college should be based on a student’s work ethic and academic achievement, not their family’s income, which is why I want to make sure students and their parents know about all of the options available.”

Representatives from the North Texas Higher Education Authority will present information regarding federal college financial aid programs, state financial aid programs, additional financial aid sources, and educational benefits for veterans and their families.
